Engineer from Jakarta. I make complicated systems feel calm.

Stanley Dave Teherag

01 Hello

Good infrastructure is like good paper: you only notice it when it's missing.

I'm Stanley, an engineer from Jakarta who fell for the unglamorous parts of software: the networks, clusters and pipelines everything else stands on.

I began in a university lab, keeping servers alive and learning GitOps by breaking things. From there I moved to ByteDance, where I helped build an internal developer platform in Go. These days I work with enterprises across Southeast Asia and beyond, helping them shape cloud, data and AI platforms that are sturdy and worth the money.

I enjoy the moment a complicated system becomes simple to use, and I like explaining how it got there.

An internal developer platform, written in Go

Shipping an application used to mean stitching together a dozen tools and tickets. I helped build a single platform that handles an app's whole lifecycle.

Most of the work was in Golang: services that let a team go from code to a running app in one place, with Terraform provisioning cloud resources and Ansible handling configuration underneath. Developers got a smoother path, and a lot of manual infrastructure work quietly went away.

Bridging a private cloud and Google Cloud

Two clouds are only useful together if traffic crosses between them safely and predictably.

Services in our private cloud needed safe, controlled paths to workloads on GCP. I automated ingress and egress with Nginx and tied it into the ticket system, so a new connection became a repeatable request instead of a bespoke job. Manual provisioning dropped by about 70%.

GitOps delivery for a university lab

My first real platform: turning a lab's hand-run deployments into a Git-driven pipeline.

Releases were slow and done by hand, and the lab's services still had to stay up. I led a Jenkins and ArgoCD workflow, proposed a highly available Kubernetes design, and put HAProxy with Keepalived in front. Deployments got about 50% faster, and we released twice as often.

A 15-node cluster on bare metal

Not everything belongs in the cloud. I designed and ran an on-premises Kubernetes environment from the ground up.

A growing team needed consistent deployments, certificates and a safe home for container images. I wired up Jenkins and ArgoCD, automated TLS with cert-manager and Route 53, and self-hosted Harbor with vulnerability scanning. Development and operations ended up with one shared way of working.

03 Journey

  1. 2026 – now

    Mostly listening

    Solution Lead · Tridorian

Now I lead cloud, AI and data conversations for Indonesia, from the first workshop to a handover. Most of the job is listening, then translating a business need into an architecture people can trust.

  2. 2025

    Designing for others

    Senior Solutions Architect · Tridorian

I moved from building platforms to designing them for other companies, across GCP, AWS and Azure. It turned out the hardest part wasn't the cloud, it was the conversation.

  3. 2023 – 2025

    Learning what scale means

    Infrastructure Engineer · ByteDance

Two years of scale, in Go, Terraform and Ansible, and my best education in running production systems.

  4. 2023

    A short, intense chapter

    DevOps Engineer · Lacak.io

A growing team on bare-metal Kubernetes, and the job of giving everyone one calm way to build and ship.

  5. 2021 – 2023

The lab where I broke things

Network admin & DevOps · Binus University

Where it started. I studied Computer Science there (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) while keeping the lab's servers alive.
